2012 Memories: A year-end countdown of experiences

Time flies so fast. Parang kahapon lang ay nag-celebrate tayo ng Christmas at New Year at nagsalu-salo sa noche buena and media noche pero ngayon, matatapos na naman ang 2012 and we will already be welcoming, in a few hours, the year of the water serpent 2013.

But before the year ends, gusto ko sana balikan and mga memories ko this 2012. Lahat ng nangyari, good or bad, I want to share to you all.

NUMBER 1: College Entrance Test Results

2012 for me was the year where many ups and downs happened, especially in my social life. First I want to start with the results or my entrance tests. But, hindi talaga. Hindi talaga will ni Lord na doon ako mag-aral so I didn't pass Ateneo.

Ateneo results was not the first one to come out. DLSU-CAT results came out first and I was so happy that I passed. So sabi ko,"Ayos 'to! Magandang start  for the year kasi at least meron na akong sure school na papasukan for college."

So after DLSU, Ateneo, UST and UP came next and unfortunately, I didn't pass UPCAT and Academic Placement in USTET. It's was a tough decision for me what university to choose between UST and DLSU because I am cosidering factors like the course, the slot and the tuition fee. But it is really God's plan for me to study in De La Salle University so I just accepted it.

NUMBER 2: High School Memories/Graduation

After 8 years in Flos Carmeli Institution of Quezon City and 4 years in Claret School of Quezon City, sa wakas! 4 years nalang at tapos na ako mag-aral!

I really can't forget 4th year high school since that year talaga ako nag-shine in terms of having a part in the batch. Kasi that year, I was given the chance to direct our choral elocution which I was very proud of. Kahit hindi kami nanalo (ahem, excuse me Ursais! Minus one! Joke! :D) proud ako sa work ko at sa classmates ko kasi alam kong binigay nila ang best nila at binigay ko rin ang best ko.

Another is yung death ng aming batch mate na si Yuki. Yuki was not very close to me pero nag-uusap kami since chorimate ko siya for 2 years. And kasama ako sa invited niya on his 18th birthday celebration. We don't talk too much kaya late ko na nalaman yung condition niya before our graduation. I remember, he was still able to ask me on facebook about the special awards to be given on our graduation day, particularly the "best musician award." He told me if he has the chance to bag the award since kinukulit nga raw siya ng mom niya.

I really know that he will be one of the recipients kasi he is a great singer and  performer. You will really be amazed on his very powerful  voice and the way he performs.

Come graduation day (March 31, 2012), medyo nag-aagaw buhay na nga raw siya. Ilang beses na rin siyang nirevive raw and everything can happen in any minute. But that didn't stop Yuki to graduate and at least accept his diploma, by his mother in his behalf.

Everybody was very happy after the graduation rites because finally, we are now proclaimed as graduates and alumni of Claret School. But there was still part in our minds, worrying about the condition of Yuki. The night of our graduation day, we heard the really bad news. Yuki, our batch mate passed away at around 11:30pm. At first we don't want to believe but it was her sister who confirmed to us that he had already left us.

It was really difficult for me and especially to his family and closest friends to accept but I know that it was purposely done by God na rin para hindi na mag-suffer si Yuki. We miss you Yuki!

Lastly siyempre yung graduation day! Finally,  graduate na rin ako and 4 years nalang at tapos na ako mag-aral. Siyempre hindi ko magagawa ito if wala ang parents ko, ang mga kapatid, and mga teachers ko, ang mga classmates ko at siyempre si God. Kaya SALAMAT PO SA INYONG LAHAT!
